TEED Shares ‘Another Day’ From Upcoming ‘DJ-Kicks’ Mix
After the announcement of his DJ-Kicks mix and the release of Never See You Dance (DJ-Kicks Version), TEED is now sharing Another Day, the first original track set to be unveiled from the forthcoming compilation coming June 26.
Another Day (one of five exclusive productions created for the project) provides a deep, mysterious and soulful moment for the upcoming release. It is built around warm melodies and understated rhythms; the track reveals another side of a mix driven by house music and dance-floor energy.
The track is inspired by what Americans call “pre-gaming” before going out for the night which TEED draws on more than a decade of life in Los Angeles. It opens with a big, vocal-led house tune and the energy of a night that’s just getting started, the song arrives as the mood begins to shift.
Alongside TEED’S tracks, many exclusives from artists such as Joe Goddard, Austin Ato, Jacques Greene, Casino Times and Oscar Farrel are featured that helps shape the mix’s journey through house music, deep club sounds and increasing atmospheric territory.
As the mix continues to unfold the synths grow heavier, the drums get crunchier and the energy sources flicker. Tracks such as Under The Metal pushes House music into a more progressive and psychedelic space with cerebral grooves and a euphoric release.
