DJ Poolboi and Flowdan Release Collaborative Project

Rising techno/house artist DJ Poolboi has recently released the music video for his single Easy featuring grime legend Flowdan.

The video was shot by UK director Sauve in a desolated outdoor setting, with a grunge-like, vintage overlay on the visuals, fitting for Flowdan’s unruly lyrical masterpiece.

The grime pioneer’s deep vocals and UK drill flow comes in heavy after the initial beat drop, continuously complimented by Poolboi’s eclectic base throughout a series of production style pivots.

“DJ Poolboi had the perfect instrumental for me to express my rebellious attitude towards the situation,” said Flowdan.

The single shares a similar sound to other UK drill artists such as Skepta and Dizzee Rascal. Just a few of the prominent figures in the music industry that Flowdan once worked with as an original member of the grime collective Roll Deep.

Although Poolboi has merely just begun his journey into the music industry with his debut LP release back in 2020, he has already collaborated with several artists such as Moby and Yeule on official remixes, and has also worked with Alan Fitzpatrick on his side project 3Strange.

In addition, the electronic producer has made an appearance at Goldenvoice’s Splash House Festival, opened for Ross From Friends, Baltra, Chaos in the CBD, DJ Seinfeld, George Fitzgerald and Park Hye Gin.

“He goes by the name DJ Poolboi and something that’s quite paradoxical is the somewhat tongue-in-cheek name, compared to the depth and the emotion conveyed within his craft,” said Stereofox.

As Poolboi continues to make a name for himself, he believes in finding inspiration in all forms of music, but is mainly passionate about techno and house.

“Easy” is also featured on Poolboi’s newest album “Stay Just A Little While Longer” out now on all streaming platforms, but to watch the drill heavy video for yourself, click here.
