Chris Murphy Releases the Road and the Stars

Traveling performing artist Chris Murphy releases his new 14-track album The Road and the Stars. Murphy is on a European summer tour performing songs from his album live.

Murphy has 19 critically acclaimed albums. He has performed over 200 shows annually throughout the USA as a solo act and with his band.

Based out of Los Angeles, Murphy’s music style is the most versatile style of music your ears will pick up on.

Folk, Jazz, Rock, and World music influence his music. You can tell throughout his album that he has different types of musical influences.

Murphy wrote and published all songs on The Road and the Stars. All Tracks except 7 and 8 were produced by Chris Murphy and producer Joshua “Cartier” Cutsinger.

One thing that to stands out in Murphy’s music is his beautiful violin skills. Instruments such as the guitar, banjo, and accordion are heard throughout the album, but they don’t stand out like the violin does. The violin is the loudest, yet most majestic sounding instrument played in his songs.

Seven of the songs are instrumentals where you can hear him display his violin skills and the other seven are songs with lyrics.

The best song on the album is the first song “Sailing the World Alone.” The song makes you feel joyful. This song gives familiarity to a song you hear in a movie when the main character is traveling on the road to start a new journey.

You should listen to two other songs: “Red Mountain Blues” and “Small Wonder” which listeners highly favor.

Sailing the World Alone” and “Red Mountain Blues are the only songs Murphy has shot a music video for. In the “Red Mountain Blues” music video, Murphy and his band play instruments such as the banjo, guitar, violin, accordion, and drums.

Murphy is an expert violinist who is thoroughly talented. His album shows how gifted he is as a singer-songwriter and musician.
