Omar Apollo & Buchanan Whisky’s Newest Drink
Singer and songwriter Omar Apollo has teamed up with Buchanan Scotch Whisky for their newest take on summer drinks, Buchanan’s Pineapple. The artist has partnered once again with the brand and is showcased in a new effervescent video. While capturing summer vibes and beachy atmospheres, the 40 second spot brings audiences into a brighter, more vibrant lifestyle with Buchanan.
Buchanan and Summer Recipes
While Omar Apollo joined Buchanon on their summer drink journey, he also has collaborated with them for a number of recipes. These recipes integrate Buchannon Pineapple with a new take on the classic piña colada. The recipe is attached below.
PREPARATION
Add Buchanan’s Pineapple, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and lime juice into a shaker with ice, and shake until cold.
Chill Buchanan’s Pineapple and pour into shot glass.
Pour into highball glass filled with crushed ice, and top with float of Angostura bitters.
Garnish with a lime wheel.
Alternatively, make it frozen in a blender.

Directed by Mexican-American director David Camarena, the spot mixes summer drinks and Omar Apollo enthusiastically. Using Apollo’s single “Useless” off his Apolonio album, the spot also ties obsession with an individual with obsession over a crisp summer drink. The 40 second spot embraces warm weather, summer memories with friends, and an also vibrant, tangier escape into relaxation.
