H&M is set to release their highly anticipated collection in collaboration with Indian designer Sabyasachi this coming Thursday, August 12. This collection is expected to be a grand homage to Indian culture. It will include pieces suitable for both men and women.
The collection which has been named, “Wanderlust” is a collaboration set to help make Sabyasachi’s designs become more well known in parts of India and all across the world. The Wanderlust collection’s release was put on hold for quite some time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it will finally be released and available for customers to shop.
The H&M site introduces the designer Sabyasachi as someone “renowned for his stunning visual language.” Sabyasachi’s special touch is seen carried throughout the collection. All of the pieces in the collection are set to represent a boho-chic style that features stunning handmade Indian culture textiles.
Pieces included in this collection are long dresses, blouses, jackets, and accessories, just to name a few. An important detail to note is that all of the patterns featured on the pieces were hand-drawn by the Sabyasachi Art Foundation. Also, Sabyasachi’s logo is seen imprinted on some pieces as well.
The official Sabyasachi Instagram page shared that, ‘Taking cues from India’s rich textile, craft, and history, the collection mixes modern and traditional silhouettes with a nod towards athleisure and glamping. A key highlight of this collection is Indian textile and print traditions brought to life by the Sabyasachi Art Foundation, meticulously crafted embroidery and multicultural silhouettes.”
The Wanderlust collection will be available in select H&M stores, the H&M website, and Myntra. In total, the entire collection will have around 65 to 70 different pieces. All of the pieces are valued at different prices.
