Since in-person concerts are forced to be put on hold due to COVID-19, virtual reality shows offer a way for fans to enjoy their favorite artists perform live from the comfort of their own home.

Oculus’s collaboration with TIDAL includes a series of six 45 minute virtual concerts each featuring a different artist. You can even access front row seats to the 2D concerts available on both TIDAL and the Venues app.

In a press release, Lior Tibon, the chief operating officer of TIDAL, mentions how Oculus will help fans enjoy live music again during the midst of the pandemic.

“At a time when livestreamed performances are seen as the new norm, TIDAL’s partnership with Oculus provides music lovers an elevated concert experience with more interaction and dimension than past livestreams,” he said. “Oculus is revolutionizing the live music experience and matched with TIDAL’s HiFi audio quality, members will be able to remember what it feels like to stand in a large crowd at a concert venue.”

Charli XCX’s home-made album “How I’m Feeing Now” serves an authentic and futuristic sound that was crafted and released during the height of the pandemic in May. In a recent interview with Vulture Magazine, the singer mentions the album was inspired by being socially isolated during lockdown.

“Obviously, I wish this wasn’t the situation we’re all in,” she said. “But I’m quite enjoying what self-isolation is forcing me to do, which is to be really present in my space.”

You can watch the show live at 6 p.m. PST/ 9 p.m. EST on TIDAL and the Venues app.
