Two Words-Craig Green!

 

Let’s talk Craig Green. I’ve been an admirer from the locker across the hall with images of looks from past seasons taped delicately into a mood board on the inside door of my rusted titanium (are lockers made from titanium? Someone correct me if you know better) lifeline. Maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, I never went to school with the man nor have I ever been that close BUT the part about fawning over images from past collections is true. Today I’m marie kondo-ing my “locker” and leaving a big chunk of negative space in which I will fill with 2018 Craig Green. His work speaks for itself, there’s complexity, wit, juxtaposition, lightness balanced by heaviness and all of the things that live in between. The collection takes up space, and isn’t afraid to hold that space as it experiences its own shape. If there was anyone out there who ever thought fashion wasn’t art (which dictates it’s own absurdity) I have two words for you. CRAIG GREEN. Sidebar (if I may) America’s former super stellar first lady (Michele Obama Obviously) dropped a question on us this week that is probably the realest thing I’ve heard in awhile. She talked about our former president(who we all not so secretly wish didn’t relinquish the seat) wearing the same tuxedo for all of the events they attended in and out of the white house without anyone paying the outfit repeating any mind while anytime she repeated anything shoes to jewelry, E-trolls turned it into headlines. She posed this question..Why is there a double standard concerning women repeating outfits?  Maybe some of you have an answer..I sure as **** don’t. Let us know what you think. Bisou, Bisou!
