Kansas City Takeover
The Kansas City Chiefs have three players to make the Top 10. Travis Kelce and Chris Jones join Mahomes as the Top 10 players heading into the 2023-24 season. The Chiefs have been a dynasty since Mahomes became a starter in 2018. In his first year of starting, Mahomes won the NFL MVP and the Offensive Player of the Year award.
The Chiefs have been to three super bowls in the past four years. Kansas City won two Super Bowls in those four years, one in 2020 and the other in 2023. Mahomes was named Superbowl MVP in both of those wins.
Offensive Player of the Year
Minnesota Vikings’ Wide Receiver, Justin Jefferson, came in at number two on the list. Jefferson won the Offensive Player of the Year award after achieving career-high numbers with 1,809 yards and 128 receptions. He hasn’t had under 1,400 yards since his NFL arrival in 2020. He is a clear number two with the stats to prove his case.
From Unranked to Ranked
Philadelphia Eagles’ Quarterback, Jalen Hurts, made a surprising yet deserved appearance at number three. Hurts wasn’t even ranked last year in the Top 100 Players and now sits at number three. He shocked many people last season with his production on the field.
Last season, the Eagles were 14-1 when he played, and they won the NFC Championship against the San Francisco 49ers, leading to them making a Superbowl appearance. Hurts had one of his best seasons yet, as he threw for 3,701 yards and had 22 touchdowns. He was even selected to play in the Pro Bowl.
He made a massive leap from year two to year three, which got him paid in the off season. Hurts signed a five-year $255 million contract with the Eagles. The Eagles have faith in him to lead them to another Superbowl.
