Luca: I guess I kinda see it the other way around. It is my creative process that has shaped my journey. I’ve matured and evolved alongside ever-changing and evolving mediums, and the natural process that has taken place has brought me to where I am today.
Zoey: As someone who’s closely connected to Gen-Z culture, how do you think music plays a role in shaping trends and identities within your generation?
Luca: Well, for sure music will always be a powerful medium for self-expression, personal connection, and social commentary. But this has become apparent with Gen-Z culture. Music helps listeners shape their identity. TikTok, Spotify, and YouTube offer an endless selection of genres, allowing listeners to create playlists that reflect their moods, interests, and values. So you could say that music acts as both a mirror and a catalyst for Gen Z’s identity and trends.
Zoey: What’s the inspiration behind your go-to winter playlist, and are there any specific moments or memories tied to the songs you’ve chosen?
Luca: I have to admit that I don’t have a winter playlist. I guess I have more of an all-season playlist… like an endless album I just keep adding songs to.

Addicted by Zerb and the Chainsmokers. This is a slick and powerful track with the kinda energy I want when hopping on my bike, hitting the gym, or just disconnecting.

Luca: Tough question… as I don’t think of it like that. To me it’s just a sound.. a track… a moment.. it doesn’t have to be personalized. So, even if I’m sourcing out a track for content creation and the track I pick isn’t in my playlist… I still think of it as authentic.

Luca: People should be paying more attention to Lithe … he’s an Australian artist. Listen to ‘Like we wrote’ and you’ll understand.

Luca: Well, a quick (but not always guaranteed) way to elevate content is to grab onto trending songs. Pay attention to what people are listening to now. This helps me elevate my audience.
Zoey: If you could collaborate with any musician or artist, who would it be and what type of project would you envision?
Luca: Post Malone. I don’t know what the project would be. Perhaps we’d create a track together, but maybe it would be more than that. His creative energy would steer the direction.
