Riordan Hits A “Twostep” With New Track

Emerging from the South Coast of the UK, genre-blending house producer Riordan returns to Insomniac Records with his highly anticipated sophomore single, “TWOSTEP.”

“TWOSTEP” is a weighty UK Garage-tinged banger designed for the peak-time dancefloor. A playful yet powerful mix of shuffling garage drums, rubbery basslines, and glistening synths drives the track, propelled by a hypnotic vocal hook that encourages dancers to unleash their footwork. With dub siren fills and a nostalgic yet modern twist, the record effortlessly bridges the gap between UK Garage and minimal tech—a sound that’s quickly becoming Riordan’s signature.

‘“TWOSTEP” is a special track for me. I’ve been super inspired by more melodic house music lately, and when I started this track, my goal was to try to combine some modern bouncy synths with the old school garage sounds that I love,’ Riordan says.

The idea for the track originated from a looping synth line that Riordan paired with a speed garage-style Reese bass and classic percussive grooves. As he jammed out the parts, the phrase “two step, two step” naturally came to him, recalling the iconic Chromeo vocal from their hit “Fancy Footwork.”. A spontaneous TikTok clip of the track went viral, quickly amassing over 200 user-generated videos and fueling demand for a full release.

This release marks a significant moment in Riordan’s meteoric rise, following his much-talked-about DoLab performance during Coachella weekend 2, where he debuted “TWOSTEP.” The performance is part of a major live run that has already included stops at EDC Mexico, Black Book MMW, Art of the Wild, It’ll Do, and Elsewhere Brooklyn, as well as upcoming appearances at EDC Las Vegas, ARC Music Festival, and more.

Riordan’s sound reflects deep roots in house, garage, and breakbeat. With past releases on Realm, Black Book Records, Catch & Release, and Insomniac, his music has garnered support from notable artists such as Michael Bibi, Jamie Jones, Dom Dolla, Gorgon City, and John Summit. His debut U.S. tour and sold-out headline show at London’s Village Underground cemented him as one of the most exciting names to watch in electronic music today.

With “TWOSTEP,” Riordan delivers a dynamic dancefloor weapon that’s as nostalgic as it is forward-thinking, proving yet again that his rise is anything but accidental.
