Most known for her famous salmon rice bowls, Mariko has grown an enormous following on social media, especially on TikTok with 9.4 million people. Her followers are fellow health fanatics and bullies, who both admire her organized cooking skills and taunt her well-structured ways, still, faithfully anticipate her uploads. Something about Mariko’s food makes everyone come back to see her content on social media.

“Emily’s Life Plan for the Week”

The 30-year-old has come to epitomize the “That Girl” lifestyle. Whether she’s completing her consistent workout routine, dressing in trendy clothes, or making tasty homemade meals in her luxurious apartment; she’s got an enviable life that most young adults wish of having.

Except her lifestyle may not be so unattainable, because now there is insight on her meals which anyone can straightforwardly duplicate.

Through all the hype and constant comments, Mariko came up with the idea of creating a weekly newsletter where she shares “grocery lists, meal ideas, daily outfits, workout plans” and basically every detail that keeps her on track that specific week. In comparison to her 30 seconds to a minute video, where very little information regarding ingredients or cooking time logistics are given, her newsletter that goes by the name “Emily’s Life Plan for the Week” is the perfect guide to try at Mariko’s meals.

On Sundays at 6 p.m. (PT), Emily uploads her weekly newsletter of her life in great detail of the week before, not to mention how one can interact by liking, commenting, and sharing each post.

Minimalist haven

One thing that stands out about Emily Mariko is her easy-going videos that emit minimalism. In the duration of her cooking videos, talking isn’t such a thing. Additionally, her cooking space is always neatly furnished with the latest sophisticated kitchen gadgets, yet not too cluttered. Similarly, even her “My Week at Glance” chart, “My Grocery List,” and comprehensive daily breakfast, lunch, dinner instructions are simple in the same nature. Which is always a relief for novice cooks, who hate all the extra unnecessary rattle.

Just in case anyone does wish to hear Emily talk about her meals in much more specification than the TikTok clips or weekly newsletter, there is always her YouTube channel. Where she dives into every little thing on her “What I eat in a Week!” vlogs.

So, with all that being said, will you be trying Emily Mariko’s Life Plan for the Week?
