600 guests including media, buyers, celebrities and VIPs gathered at Spring Studios yesterday in New York City for the Spring Summer 2020 womenswear and menswear collection runway show of Studio 189, the sustainable fashion brand produced in Ghana West Africa who is also the 2018 recipient of the prestigious CFDA Lexus Fashion Award for sustainability.

The brand was founded in 2013 by actress Rosario Dawson and luxury executive Abrima Erwiah. Among the guests seated front row were Fantasia, Naturi Naughton, Maggie Q, Young Paris, Opal Tometti, Bethann Hardison, Justine Skye, Joani Johnson, Quincy Brown, Shaun Ross, Laura Gomez and Jeremy Carver to name a few. The show included a cultural experience with live dance and musical performances that were inspired by the continent of Africa.
