Private Policy, LUAR, Diageo Kickoff NYFW
This past weekend DIAGEO and its brands kicked off NYFW with designers Private Policy, and Raul Lopez of LUAR by celebrating the Fluidity is Freedom, an initiative that honors fashion through the lens of inclusivity, intersectionality and self-expression. On Saturday, Private Policy held their Noah’s Ark (Capture the Dove, Hope After Disasters) Spring/Summer 2023 presentation and afterparty at Firehouse, Engine Company 31 where actress Ebony Obsidian, singer LeA Robinson, Tink and musician Syd Tha Kid were in attendance. On Sunday, Dominican Designer Raul Lopez of LUAR presented La Alta Gama” S/S 2023 Runway Show, followed by a star-studded afterparty at the PUBLIC HOTEL with performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race Symone. Celebs Solange Knowles, Trinidad James and more were spotted enjoying signature DIAGEO cocktails from Buchanan’s, Smirnoff Pink Lemonade, and Tanqueray.
Fluidity is freedom, as more people across cultures and generations find ways to express themselves and challenge gender norms through creativity and fashion. To amplify the voices of inclusive change makers and creatives, DIAGEO and its brands have partnered with fashion designers, Private Policy, Raul Lopezof ‘LUAR’ and jewelry designer CHRISHABANA for their “Fluidity is Freedom” initiative this Fall.
