Met Gala 2023 Meets Elegance with Karl Lagerfeld
The Met Gala is dreamy and elegant this year with A list stars dressed in divine pearls and whites. In addition, the grande occasion takes place in New York City every year. The glamour and mystique sets itself apart from any event prior; it’s posh and sultry combined creating ethereal couture painting a story on everyone who enters. Here are my a few of our favorite looks inspired by the theme.
Met Gala x Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty
Firstly, Yara Shahidi is breathtaking in a Jean Paul Gaultier original 2008 masterpiece inspired by mermaids. This seashell corset style is absolutely stunning in its pearlescent shine with a tan drapery style of dress with major slits on both sides to add dimension.
Kim Kardashian is a visionary; veiled in the finest pearls with this Schiaparelli dress that falls effortlessly down her legs.
Pictured here are Devon Aoki and Jeremy Scott in a matching angel wing painted design. Furthermore, the angelic look features a classic white tuxedo with a cartoonish detail of black wings. More so, designed by Scott himself, Aoki wears an off the shoulder white and black sequin gown that drapes gracefully along her body.
Paris Hilton stuns in a Marc Jacobs glamorous gown that fully covers her in black sparkles and leather for an edgy contrast to the chic dress. Obviously, the blonde bombshells dress is on trend with glove style sleeves in shimmer with a matching rosette choker & bold platform pumps for some extra depth.
Red poppy in color; this vibrant dress was the perfect pop of color and added some red hot vision to the black and white hues that dominated the evening’s attire. Kylie Jenner’s Jean Paul Gaultier by Haider Ackermann gown is form fitting with a cutout style choker top. Indeed, with some lilac purple underneath for a soft and feminine touch.
Finally, Anne Hathaway appears in no other than her couture staple, Chanel. Also, she is held together in gold pin style brooches mixed with pearls. Evidently, her classic tweed gown is very reminiscent of the Chanel brand and spicing it up with matching sleeves.
