Meet Stylist Lindsey Hartman

Meet Stylist Lindsey Hartman

LA-based Lindsey Hartman blends grunge and 60s mod into her styling. Dressing figures including Hayley Williams, Phoebe Bridgers, Rico Nasty, and Avril Lavigne, Hartman’s looks are styled for the bold, bright, and unafraid.

Lindsey Hartman and Hayley Williams

Hartman began styling Paramore singer Hayley Williams upon the release of her solo album “Petals for Armor.” Williams has always taken on avant-garde fashions, so she and Hartman are the perfect pairing. She is responsible for the styling and creative direction of the album cover shoot, which features Williams in a sheer black blouse and messy hair.

Hartman has since styled zany yet sophisticated looks for Williams, including a Mainline:RUS/Fr.CA/DE suit for her surprise appearance at Billie Eillish’s concert, and a modish two-toned blouse in a campaign for the singers’ hair brand Good Dye Young. Hartman has also begun styling the rest of Paramore as they tour and promote their latest album “This is Why.”

Most recently, Hartman styled the band for their “Running Out of Time” music video. The trippy, Alice and Wonderland-esque cinematography is enhanced by Hartman’s picturesque vision. She styles Williams in a variety of vintage and modern pieces. These include a blue high-neck Acne Studios hoodie, dusty pink Collina Strada pants, and an archival Vivienne Westwood corset and choker.

Lindsey Hartman and Avril Lavigne & Rico Nasty

Hartman was also the stylist for Avril Lavigne, who she calls “her hero,” and Rico Nasty for their Alternative Press cover. Lavigne poses in a colorful plaid skirt, lace-up boots, and a black t-shirt with rolled-up sleeves. Meanwhile, Rico Nasty rocks statement pants and a checkered blouse. Hartman has since styled for Rico Nasty on several occasions.

Lindsey Hartman & Phoebe Bridgers

Also, Hartman dressed indie-singer Phoebe Bridgers as she attended and performed at the Time Women of the Year Gala. Bridgers wore a sheer sequined Rodarte gown styled with a crystal crown made by the jewelry brand House of Emmanuele. Hartman also styled Bridgers and the rest of Boygenius for the cover of Loud and Quiet Magazine.
