LAFW W/ TME

LAFW W/ TME

After an epic New York Fashion Week event with Saucy Santana, Coi Leray, The Model Experience (TME) rocked their home city of Los Angeles with their first-ever three day festival for LAFW. Celebrity models like Jordun Love made their appearance to add to the grits and glamour of this special weekend, as well as model-turned-designer Rosa Acosta. “Once again TME has raised the bar for the fashion industry, “ noted Acosta, “no one else is doing events like this.” Rosa’s comments are no exaggeration: TME founder Ashley Covarrubias is one of the only Latina women producing fashion events of this caliber, and she’s making sure TME continues to wow all their models, designers and guests with every show.

Recording artist BIA headlined their opening night on October 7th (see pics below), and DJs, vendors, and red carpet celebrity showcases made all three days an experience to remember. As Covarrubias has explained, “most of our models are fresh and unsigned, so this is a big break moment for a lot of them.” Judging by the excitement on these model’s faces, there’s no doubt this is an experience they will remember for years to come. See IG recap here!

For over a decade TME has been giving up-and-coming models the chance to walk the runway. As the founder has shared about her organization, “we truly provide the model experience that aspiring talents need, and with accolades like placements in Vogue with designers who’ve gone on to work with stars like Cardi B, our reputation is golden.” Nicknamed “the super bowl of fashion shows,” this TME festival unveiled dozens of designers’ newest collections and left a huge impact on the inclusivity of the modeling industry.
