According to Fraser, he often jokes that his first job in fashion publication was an overnight success. Fraser applied to Fashion United in 2015, nine months after his college graduation and was hired as an editor. Fraser’s duties included Fashion Week coverage and runway criticism. While people only see the glamorous side of fashion week involving meeting designers, social media posts and after parties, working during NYFW means different workloads and duties rotating for a week. Fraser’s day usually starts at 7 am and doesn’t end until 1 am the next morning, his runway reviews need to be completed in a timely manner. Even though fashion week is exhausting, Fraser still enjoys the experience. He received invites from fashion brands such as Dennis Basso, Lacoste, and Reem Acra during his first Fashion Week experience. For him, those invites from iconic brands is a milestone, an affirmation that he has made it into the world of fashion.
When he is not attending Fashion Week, Fraser works on creating content for the magazine. Every day, Fraser scrolls through the news headlines to see what’s going on in the world of fashion and business, he has to make sure to cover all the big news headlines. Fraser not only reads the fashion section of publications, but also business and technology since they are all closely connected to the fashion industry. Fraser wants to create a new vision of success and luxury for people to aspire to.
Fraser’s articles
It’s not difficult to spot Fraser at shows or on the street. Fraser is always dressed head to toe in designer, there is never a time that he’s underdressed. He lives by the philosophy “Dress like other people want to be you.”. Fraser developed an extensive wardrobe during the years, his favorite designers include Paul Smith, Comme des Garcons, Phillip Lim, and Hugo Boss. He takes inspiration from Italian street wear and adores bright colors and prints. Fraser’s love for fashion and the way he dresses up for Fashion Week also contributes to his extraordinary styling techniques.
One part of Fraser’s success in the industry has to do with his networking ability. “Always be networking” is one of the advices he gives to fashion students. Every time Fraser is invited to an afterparty or press review, he makes sure to be talking to models, designers or literally anyone who is associated to the fashion industry. “The fashion world is smaller than you think, and you may only be three degrees of separation or less from someone who could make your career takeoff. Every runway show, party, and press event is an opportunity to be networking, so take advantage of it.”.

“Fashion fades, only style remains the same” is a quote Fraser lives by. He does the best to remember this with his writing and styling as he continues to amaze the industry with the work he does.
