HOUSE OF CB FOUNDER CONNA WALKER TO GIVE AWAY UP TO $13,000 CASH INJECTION TO THREE WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES IN HONOR OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH
In celebration of International Women’s Month and in an effort to help empower women, House of CB founder and recent Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, Conna Walker, has launched a contest for current and future women business owners to receive cash injections for their businesses up to $13,000. Applicants’ business plans will be reviewed by Walker. There will be three cash injection prizes: $2,600 for third place, $6,500 for second place, and $13,000 for first place. Winners will be announced March 31, 2019.
“I was so fortunate to be able to start with a £3,000 loan, but not everyone has that luxury, so this year for International Women’s Day, I’m looking to give a cash injection to 3 women owned companies or start ups who I feel deserve it the most,” Walker said.
The cash injection is completely free, in that no monetary amount or percentage is deducted from the winner or the winner’s company. Being a woman is the main qualifier for this contest. Entrants do not have to be in a specific industry or possess a certain company value. The company can be new, old or a company in infancy.
“I’m so proud to be a woman, and so proud of everything women have and can achieve. We deserve equal pay, equal respect and equal opportunity and I hope that #CBWOMEN4WOMEN will help other women smash glass ceilings and live their dreams,” Walker said.
To enter, applicants are to post their business in a social media post (Instagram, Twitter and/or Facebook) with the hashtag #CBWOMEN4WOMEN, as well as filling out the email form at www.houseofcb.com. Applicants must also submit a business plan. Applicants must have an email and social media entry to qualify. Winners will be chosen on March 31.
