June is Pride month. Restaurants and businesses all over NYC have bedazzled their store fronts with rainbows signifying their observance of LGBTQIA rights. Opening Ceremony has exclusive Tees from Nicopanda X Tom of Finland that are great to wear to the pride parade today and benefit a nonprofit dedicated to preserving art. As June comes to an end on the last Saturday of the month NY celebrates with a beyond huge parade of beautiful diverse people regardless of gender, sexual orientation or identity. Today is that day and NY will be rainbow coated by the end of the night. I’ve gone to the parade for the past 3 years to be apart of the celebrations and to show my love and support for people everywhere who have felt that they were without a safe space to be who they are. Chicago, LA, and Cincinnati are among many states that celebrate pride month! I also love to go for fashion spotting, it’s increasingly interesting every year. The years major trends are interpreted through a festival-like lens with a shot of unicorn latte. It’s like going to Coachella sans the pretentiosness and the flight to Palm Springs.
