Global Recycling Day – stepping towards a more eco-friendly wardrobe (Pangaia)

Over 100BN items of clothing and 500BN plastic bottles are being produced every year. Half goes to landfill, taking decades to decompose. All textile and plastic waste can be recycled, turned into a yarn and reused repeatedly. Pangaia develop products made of post-consumer recycled materials and plastic bottles. Tomorrow marks ‘Global Recycling Day’ and with the spotlight shining ever so brightly on the environmental issues that our world faces, consumers are investing in more considered, sustainable purchases including everything from their toothbrushes to their clothes!

In light of increased interest in sustainable living, I wanted to introduce you to Pangaia – an eco-friendly material science company already loved by a-listers such as Justin Bieber, Jaden Smith and Kourtney Kardashian and their ‘sell-out’ track suits and t-shirts, all made with recycled cotton!
