Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann Celebrates African Creativity With the Return of Africa Now

African fashion is once again taking center stage in Paris. Following its successful debut in 2025, Africa Now has returned to Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, showcasing the vibrancy, innovation, and global influence of contemporary African design from June 17 through July 8, 2026.

Located on the third floor of the iconic Coupole store, the curated pop-up brings together an impressive selection of ready-to-wear, handbags, jewelry, and accessories from some of the continent’s most exciting established and emerging talents. The initiative reinforces Galeries Lafayette’s ongoing commitment to championing diverse voices and highlighting the richness of African creativity on an international stage.

The 2026 edition is presented in partnership with influential organizations including Adama Paris, CANEX x Tranoï, and Africa Fashion Up x Studio Ka, each introducing a distinct group of designers that reflect the breadth of Africa’s evolving fashion landscape.

Among the featured labels selected by Adama Paris is Ghanaian brand Christie Brown, founded by designer Aisha Ayensu, whose sophisticated collections seamlessly blend West African heritage with contemporary luxury. Ivory Coast-based Ibrahim Fernandez returns for a second season with its refined ready-to-wear designs that fuse African and international influences, while Senegal’s Sisters of Afrika continues its mission of ethical luxury through artisan craftsmanship and locally produced pieces.

CANEX x Tranoï’s selections spotlight innovation and sustainability. Moroccan label Late for Work, winner of the 2025 Fashion Trust Arabia Ready-to-Wear Designer Award, reimagines women’s workwear through unstructured and empowering silhouettes. Kenyan jewelry brand We Are NBO presents contemporary designs crafted from recycled materials, while Zimbabwean accessories label Vanhu Vamwe offers handcrafted conceptual handbags that celebrate traditional craftsmanship and women’s empowerment.

Africa Fashion Up x Studio Ka further elevates the showcase with designers including Madagascar-born creative Eric Raisina, renowned for his pioneering work with natural fibers and collaborations with major fashion houses. Ivory Coast’s Kwiyiah Style brings cultural heritage into conversation with modern ready-to-wear, while Talua delivers understated luxury through meticulously crafted leather goods and contemporary designs inspired by African symbolism.

Beyond the collections themselves, Africa Now serves as a powerful platform dedicated to the future of African fashion. Through initiatives such as Dakar Fashion Week, Fashion Africa Channel, and Africa Fashion Up, the program’s partners have spent decades creating opportunities for African designers to gain international visibility and access to global markets.

As African fashion continues to shape conversations around creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling, Africa Now at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann stands as both a celebration and a statement—one that recognizes the continent’s designers not as emerging voices, but as influential forces defining the future of global fashion.

Africa Now is open to the public through July 8, 2026, at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann in Paris.
