Cynthia Rowley Spring/Summer 2025 Collection
Cynthia Rowley revealed her Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Pier 76. Set against the Hudson River sunset, the immersive experience highlighted the reflective materials featured throughout the collection. The picturesque sunset and euphoric music energized the crowd of over 700 fashion week insiders and fans. The Spring/Summer 2025 womenswear collection was lit by the headlights of 20 black Cadillac LYRIQ electric SUV’s in a bold creative twist on show staging, for which Cynthia is known.
Cynthia has always said “Anything can be a runway!” This philosophy is ingrained in the spirit of the brand as we’ve done shows on a mirrored runway at the beach in Montauk, rollerblading through the West Village and on horseback at the Marfa Invitational. One night in Montauk, as Cynthia walked down her driveway towards her car, the car lights reflecting off her outfit made her feel like she was walking a runway. She thought to herself, “Wow, this would be an epic concept for NYFW!”
There’s so many details that come into play when putting on a show, the last thing you want to worry about is Mother Nature. However, this is what makes the clothes come to life. Each September, the team reveals their Spring/Summer collection in a dynamic outdoor setting in New York City. Embracing the elements, they let nature serve as their stylist, as movement brings the designs to life. This season, the collection features striking materials inspired by the gleam of car headlights. Guests were treated to a blend of sleek, sporty silhouettes, fluid and flirty dresses and tough-girl chic.
Highlights from the collection include metallic prints on featherweight chiffon, embellishments hand-applied on sporty silhouettes, and drippy seed beads. Voluminous silhouettes and hand-applied embellishments meet abstract motifs inspired by nature, including hand-applied turquoise stones and soft suede. Animal inspired motifs in the form of abstract leopard print, unconventional faux snakeskin, & hand-dipped chiffon petals emulating feathers in motion. And Rowley’s expanded accessories line features mini utility bags, moto-inspired heels, crocodile wedge boots, and statement belts adorned with natural stones.
The show featured a striking collaboration with Cadillac, as their all-electric SUVs lined the runway, casting a chic, reflective glow over the collection and bringing Cynthia Rowley’s bold designs to life.
The makeup, crafted by Stila Cosmetics and led by Global Beauty Director and Head of Artistry Charlie Riddle, took inspiration from the fluid reflections seen in car paint. The focus was all on the eyes with an effortless, almost abstract application of chrome and metallic shades finished with a bold eyebrow. Check out our previous coverage on Cynthia Rowley here.
