Theia Provides for Every Bride at NYBFW

Fashion week was soooo last month. This week marks New York’s bridal fashion week, where the setting is more intimate and casual. On Tuesday, October 10th, I had the pleasure of viewing Theia Couture’s bridal collection for Autumn 2024 in Hell’s Kitchen. The collection seamlessly blends traditional romantic styles of corseting and bias cuts with more modern, elegant silhouettes like keyholes and plunging backs. While white was to be expected, there was some color with light pink satin gowns accompanied by deeper pink veils, as well as black embroidery on a traditional white veil. One surprise addition to the floor-length gowns of the collection was a short beaded, fringe party dress for the reception or a bachelorette. Theia has every type of bride covered within a reasonable range of pricing. Every piece is below $3000, allowing for every bride to look her best on her big day.

Some favorites of mine:

This boat neck satin gown with a scooped back tied together with an asymmetrical knot. It’s a chic, elegant look that hugs the figure, but retains a modicum of modesty.

Nothing says “classic” quite like corsetry. This gown has a cowl neck that flatters the bosom lifted by the boning of the bodice, while simultaneously snatching the waist, highlighting the hourglass figure of the wearer. It’s sexy and timeless.

For the more daring bride, Theia has this beaded pink tulle gown with a darker pink appliquéd veil to accent. While white is a beautiful light shade for the big day, pink is the ultimate color of romance. When in love, we see the world through rose-colored lenses, so why not reflect that on the day that cements that?

As mentioned above, the collection includes a party dress. Currently, it’s a trend to have a dress for the reception that’s easier to dance in, and this option is perfect for that. The fringe ensures that the wearer will be the center of attention whether it’s at the afterparty or at the bachelorette.
