BORSALINO ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF A NEW TRAVEL RETAIL BOUTIQUE IN THE AIRPORT OF ROME-FIUMICINO

Borsalino proudly announces the opening of its new travel boutique inside the Rome-Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. The opening marks a further step for the Made in Alessandria Maison in the development of its travel-retail channel, after the brand’s debut at Milan-Linate Airport in October 2021. Borsalino also consolidates its presence in the Italian capital city adding to where 3 historic mono brand boutiques are active (Piazza del Popolo, 20; Via Campo Marzio, 72-A; and Via Sistina 58-A.)

For this travel boutique Borsalino has chosen a location in Area A in Terminal 1 of the airport, a new space dedicated to boarding that was inaugurated in May 2020.

Overlooking the shopping arcade with an imposing important entrance window, the store covers more than 24 square meters and is characterized by interior design elements in pure Borsalino style. The new travel boutique features collections dedicated to travel with a supreme selection of Borsalino hats, caps, and accessories.

“This new boutique in Rome-Fiumicino allows us to reach a wider target of cosmopolitan consumers who love to travel just like our founder, Giuseppe Borsalino, and who truly appreciates Italian savoir-faire,” declared Borsalino Managing Director Mauro Baglietto adding “Our monoband retail development strategy continues according to plan: In addition to Rome-Fiumicino, in the last 12 months we have inaugurated new boutiques in Montecarlo, Mykonos, Milan-Linate and Miami.”

This new Borsalino travel boutique is located in the recently developed Rome-Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci airport boarding area A that connects to Terminal 1, a new structure aimed at increasing capacity of the eastern sector of the airport, dedicated to domestic connections and the Schengen area serving more than six million passengers a year.
