Art Hearts Fashion FW 2017

Art Hearts Fashion FW 2017

One day three, I attended the NYFW Art Heart Fashion FW 2017 showcases at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in Downtown Manhattan. There were three designers on the lineup for that evening; Arzamendi Style from Mexico, Rosete by Erik Rosete from the US and Charles & Ron from Malta. Three different designers with three entirely different collection styles. Let’s take a look.

Arzamendi Style
The first collection embodied a romanticized expressionism and incorporated the use of textures, heavy embroidery, sheer and flowing silhouettes, feather accents and fur. It tells a color story that transitioned from cool hues into deeper shades. Tailored separates are shown alongside evening silhouettes.

The second collection focused a lot on bodycon but taken to a whole other level. If you are not familiar of what bodycon is, it is simply a one piece garment that hugs tightly and conforms to the body and typically comes in three lengths; knee, mid-thigh or upper thigh. The collection incorporated two piece structured separates as well as full dresses. Rosete achieved the “Multiform” effect with sharp and tailored embroidery and stuck to mainly a dark palette to show multiform of the accented designing

Charles & Ron
The last collection was all about creating prints and patterns, admixture of full bright and dark colors and different fabrics. Also incorporated with some romanticism, many of the patterns looked as if it’s been hand printed and different combinations of prints and color at play. The fabrics brought out the expression of each piece to life with an inspiration of art.
