Inside Rachel Zoe’s Star-Studded Desert Dinner To Kick Off Festival Season
Under a canopy of desert stars in Indian Wells, California, designer and author Rachel Zoe and The Zoe Report gathered a stylish crowd of influencers, actors, and musicians for an intimate dinner celebrating the start of one of music’s most anticipated festival weekends.
Hosted in partnership with The Zoe Report, the “Zoeasis” dinner took place Friday night, April 10th. The private patio venue in Indian Wells offers a relaxed and elevated setting that combines fashion, beauty, and music.
The evening began with a warm welcome toast from Zoe, whose signature bohemian glamour set the tone for the night. Guests mingled over cocktails inspired by iconic shades from essie, including “Marshmallow” and “Ballet Slippers,” before sitting down for a candlelit dinner outdoors.
As temperatures dipped, attendees moved toward glowing firepits, where branded marshmallows, of course, were toasted and shared. The laid-back atmosphere was an intentional contrast to the high-energy festival scene just miles away.
Music came courtesy of Mojave Grey, who delivered both a DJ set and an acoustic performance that carried softly through the desert air. The soundscape added to the evening’s easy intimacy, never overpowering conversation but always present.
“It’s about creating a moment,” Zoe said during the event. “Something that feels personal and special before everything gets a little louder.”
The guest list reflected that balance of influence and ease. Attendees included Madelyn Cline, Winnie Harlow, and Sara Sampaio, alongside a mix of creatives, influencers, and industry insiders. While the names were recognizable, the vibe remained more understated, a dinner party than red carpet.
Before the night wrapped, guests received curated gift bags featuring beauty essentials from Essie and sunless tanning products from Brown Bee, a practical nod to the sun-soaked days ahead.
For many in attendance, the evening served as a soft launch into a packed weekend of music and parties. But unlike the chaos that typically defines festival season, Zoeasis leaned into something quieter: connection, atmosphere, and thoughtful details.
In a setting where spectacle often takes center stage, Zoe’s dinner proved there’s still power in keeping things simple and just a little bit magical.
