Kathie Lee Gifford addresses biblical illiteracy in her upcoming book and movie. Following years of being an actress, author, and TV host she is now passionately pursuing her “dream job”. Gifford has always been vocal about her faith, but now she is visibly putting it at the forefront of her work.

Rabbi Sobel and Gifford’s new book is ready for pre-order on Amazon.

In her upcoming book “The God of the Way: A Journey into the Stories, People, and Faith That Changed the World Forever” she partnered with her friend Messianic Rabbi Jason Sobel. Readers will read about different Bible characters and how they navigate through seemingly hopeless situations. The purpose of the book is to give readers hope when they feel they are in a hopeless situation and to show that God can transform any situation into something good.

Gifford and Rabbi Sobel come together in a unique partnership to show the reader what it was like during biblical times and God’s purpose for the reader. Rabbi Sobel dives into the Jewish culture to provide historical context for the reader. Then Gifford adds her own personal testimony and stories that people can relate to as they enter their own relationship with God.

Gifford is the director in her new movie The Way.

The book is an extension of Gifford’s movie The Way, which she directed. The movie brings Bible stories to life through narration and music. In her book she is able to go more in depth than she could in 80 minutes. Gifford told the Christian Post that she recommends people read the book first because it answers most of the questions viewers will have after watching the movie.

This is the second book that the two have worked on together. Their first novel was called The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi: My Journey into the Heart of Scriptural Faith and the Land Where It All Began. The two authors met through a mutual friend. Then after a long conversation and Rabbi Sobel explained the true story of Jesus’ birth to Gifford she wanted to write a book with him. Their first novel is a deep dive into Israel and the foundation of the Christian faith, and their newest book addresses God’s love and mercy and how to trust God in times of worry and feeling unworthy.

Their book The God of the Way: A Journey into the Stories, People, and Faith That Changed the World Forever will be available to buy on Amazon on Tuesday, August 30. The Way, which is the film that partners with the book will be in movie theaters for only one night on Thursday, September 1, two days after the book is released.
