DIAGEO Is Coming to Apple Vision Pro
Coming this spring, the DIAGEO tequila brand, Tequila Don Julio, will be collaborating with Apple Vision Pro to create a new storytelling platform for their consumers. It was announced on March 4th that Tequila Don Julio will be the first DIAGEO brand to pursue this new venture of technology in the beverage industry.
What To Expect From This DIAGEO and Apple Vision Pro Collaboration
Users will engage in this collaboration by exploring and experiencing the world where the brand founder, Don Julio González, started to create his tequila in 1942. On the Don Julio app on Apple Vision Pro, it will let the audience to embark on a four part journey that highlight key chapters in Don Julio’s creation process. For example, the four parts will include harvesting the agave, baking the pina, distilling the liquid, and aging the tequila. Once the app develops more over time, there will guide tastings, mixology demonstrations, and how audiences can celebrate cocktail culture in Mexico.
Sophie Kelly, the Senior Vice President of Global Tequila and Mezcal Categories at DIAGEO, said that Apple Vision Pro gives consumers the opportunity to understand the process of creating the iconic Tequila Don Julio brand.
Spatial computing gives us a rich canvas to deliver the closest vision of the physical world of Tequila Don Julio through digital content,” she said. “What was once limited to visitor centers, distillery tours, and physical activations, we’re now able to inspire and educate seamlessly with behind-the-scenes access to our award-winning portfolio.”
Exclusive Look of the Don Julio App
As you can see below, the 21+ app will be embedded into APple Vision Pro. Users will be able to understand the cultural significance of tequila in Mexico. One of the features shown in the video is the barrel room. Tequila is usually stored in barrels during the aging process and then diluted when they are removed from the barrel.
