Johnnie Walker and Sophia Bush Team Up
Last month on Women’s Equality Day, Johnnie Walker and fellow brand partner Lilly Singh announced the next phase of the ‘First Strides’ initiative, which supports the goals of ongoing partners IFundWomen and She Should Run in a collective effort to create parity for women in leadership positions.
Continuing the commitment, longtime partner, actress, and activist Sophia Bush is joining Johnnie Walker to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments and milestones of women across the nation and call to action in support of parity for women leaders through a short video scripted by Lilly Singh.
The video, going live on Sophia’s social channels tomorrow on American Business Women’s Day, illustrates the inequalities women face in the workplace, highlight the positive impact women have as leaders in business and emphasize the critical need for more funding for women to achieve greater success and recognition in their place of work.
As part of the brand’s ongoing efforts, Sophia also surprised and presented women-owned podcast and media company Locatora Radio with a ‘First Strides’ grant in honor of women that are pushing boundaries to move culture forward. To celebrate women trailblazers and support the goals of the next generation of groundbreaking women leaders, Johnnie Walker and IFundWomen are continuing to provide the opportunity to apply for business grants by visiting https://ifundwomen.com/johnniewalker.
