Coming off the heels of the release of their first-ever cookbook, Black Power Kitchen, Ghetto Gastro gathered residents of New York City for a night of delectable bites such as the Black Power Waffle and King Jaffe Jollof, and an exclusive book signing. All proceeds of the sales, along with a matching donation from I.W. Harper, benefitted the Bruckner Mott Haven Community Garden, which will provide twice as many nourishing meals to families in the Bronx, one of the poorest congressional districts in the country.

Notable attendees such as rapper, Brent Faiyaz, enjoyed Atlanta-based creative cocktail duo, Whiskey and Rosemary’s New York City-inspired cocktail, The Ritual. The cocktail featured ingredients such as infused coffee, apple liqueur, and I.W. Harper Cabernet Cask Reserve, as an embodiment of the hustle and bustle of “the big apple,” culminating in exquisite harmony.
