No longer overlooked, Black inventors everlasting recognized beyond the consumption of Products

Honorable philanthropist, Activist of the Black Panther Movement, and self-establishing millionaire Madam C.J Walker’s home is where the historic fashion set the scene. As the first African American in the book of World Records,  Walker takes a seat leading producing hair products for Black Women worldwide. (Jacqui Palumbo, CNN).

Raising a Bar That Can’t be marginalized represents many inventions created by Black Inventors

Planting the seed at the fashion show, never again will the inventions of Black creators be ignored. Pryer and Raymond made sure to stand on teaching and exposing history that many African Americans failed to be taught about.

Moss, known for designing for both men and women, also designed Vice President Kamala Harris’s outfit during the 2020 inauguration. Her bold designs have also draped notable voices, Zendaya and Colin Kaepernick (Jacqui Palumbo, CNN).

Directly quoted from Jean-Raymond, “Oftentimes, though, among our community, we often berate and belittle people who are making money in their respective crafts. So much so that we’ve learned to undervalue our work and undervalue our time. I’m trying to flip that narrative because I understand that that narrative is a trap.” (Jacqui Palumbo, CNN).

The enriched expression of the ‘What U Iz’ collection displayed the fight for freedom and power established in the black community.
