Vaultboy & EAJ Are “Everything, Everywhere”

Vaultboy & EAJ Are “Everything, Everywhere”

Multi-hyphenate, singer-songwriter – dubbed “the King of Sad Songs” by Rolling Stone – vaultboy, is no stranger to being brutally honest and wearing his heart on his sleeve. The singer returns with his latest single, “everything, everywhere” with assistance from South Korean pop-rock singer eaJ (Jae Park). The R&B-tinged pop track finds vaultboy and eaJ being haunted by past romantic encounters they just can’t seem to escape. The latest release follows “everything hits me at once” which is proving to be a hit among fans, landing him on Spotify’s Viral 50 in South Korea and Nigeria and Melon’s Pop Daily Top 100.

“This song is about the way someone can haunt you after a break up. The way that you see them in little things around your house, in the shows you watched together, or in the face of a stranger. At some point, it begins to feel impossible to think about anything else, and all we want is to forget. However, as the saying goes, “Its better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.” I hope this song can help people navigate through these types of emotions and, maybe, help people move on.”

– from vaultboy + Jae (eaJ)

vaultboy is flexing his creativity as a songwriter on “everything, everywhere” alongside eaJ and songwriting duo Colin & Alex. Colin & Alex also helmed the production with additional contributions from vaultboy. The accompanying music video finds vaultboy and eaJ removing physical reminders of their past romantic encounters and seeking professional help to heal a broken heart. In the end, one decides to move on and the other chooses the connection even at the cost of pain.

vaultboy has been steadily releasing new music this year and it’s proving to resonate with fans as he actively has 5.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He’s also seen spikes across social media with hundreds of thousands of new followers on TikTok (1.7M total) and Instagram (424K total). This has also translated into a wider global reach as he has been dominating within the Asian market with a top 10 list including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand.
“everything, everywhere” follows his recent string of releases including “everything hits me at once” and “way after forever” and this is what I get EP.
