Kris Jenner Opens Up About Recent Health Crisis
On Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians,” amidst a family trip to Aspen, Colorado, Kris Jenner tearfully reveals to her daughters—Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner—as well as her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, of a recent health scare that brings the 68-year-old reality star to tears. Jenner explains how her doctor found a tumor and cyst on her ovaries and will have to undergo surgery to get them removed.
This is not the first time the Kardashian-Jenner family has endured a health scare similar to this. In October of 2022, Khloe Kardashian revealed that she had a melanoma tumor removed from her face. Through her recovery being shown in season 3 over several episodes, viewers were able to see the recovery process and the emotional toll it had on her and the family.
Kris Jenner explains the reason why she is so emotional with this news is because her ovaries were the very thing that brought her daughters, stating, “that’s where all my kids were conceived and that’s where they were grown, in my tummy. So this is a very sacred place to me.” The family showed immediate support and understanding for her emotional reaction to the situation. In the middle of the conversation, Khloe phoned Kourtney Kardashian to alert her of the news, to which she later on stated in her confessional, “It’s like your womanly power. It doesn’t mean it’s taking away who she is or what she’s experienced, but I would feel this sentimental feeling of what it’s created.”
Jenner has shown bravery and fearlessness as she had previously undergone a hip replacement surgery in 2022, so with this upcoming procedure Jenner states, “I’m not nervous to be put to sleep. I’m not nervous with Dr. A, she’s the best doctor in the world. But then you go to do it and… it’s so real.” Previews of next week’s episode hint more emotional and personal conversations regarding Jenner’s health are expected as this season progresses.
