The 2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards Winners List

The 2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards Winners List

You better have not forgotten about iHeart Radio! On April 1st, the 2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards was a spectacular night in Los Angeles with SZA having the most wins of the night and Beyonce accepting the Innovator Award from Stevie Wonder! Check out the full list of winners below!

Song of the Year

“Song of the Year” is one of the main awards of the night (think of it as “Artist of the Year” for the Grammys)! SZA graciously won the award for “Kill Bill”, one of the leading singles from her latest sophomore studio album, “SOS”, in 2022! “Kill Bill” is a pop and R&B ballad that is a reference from the movie franchise “Kill Bill” starring Uma Thurman. In addition, the song was SZA’s first number one single on the Billboard Global 200 and spent eight weeks at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

The record-breaking single even topped Lil Nas X’s debut “Old Town Road” on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song charts by sitting at number one for about 21 weeks! It is safe to say that “Kill Bill” is one of SZA’s top songs in her discography alongside her enchanting/eerie music video. Check out the music video and her acceptance speech below!

Innovator Award

Are you ready to serve? Are you ready to slay? Are you ready for the Renaissance way? The iHeart Radio Music Awards awarded Beyonce Knowles-Carter with the Innovator Award this year! Since her time in Destiny’s Child, Knowles-Carter has continued to innovate and elevate her artistry for her fans. After releasing her highly praised eighth studio album, “COWBOY CARTER” (highly recommend everyone streams immediately), she is continuing to push boundaries by exploring and showcasing that she is versatile! In addition, Stevie Wonder presented the award to her as the room erupted to her appearance on stage! Check out her acceptance speech and listen to COWBOY CARTER below!

Icon Award

If you do not know who this woman is, the Bob Mackie queen herself, open YouTube right now. The iHeart Radio Music Awards awarded Cher with the Icon Award for her tremendous six decade career in the industry! Cher is known for her contralto voice, ambitious lyrics, infectious dance hits, trendsetting fashion, and potent acting roles. In addition, Cher was introduced to the world as part of a duo with her then spouse Sonny Bono and on their comedy show: The Sonny & Cher Show. But having over 100 million albums sold worldwide and breaking barriers for future female artists to not shy away from their eccentricity and personality, Cher is one of the blueprints to why our entertainment industry is how it is today! Check out her acceptance speech and her performance with Jennifer Hudson at the show!

Landmark Award

It is not a boulevard of broken dreams at this award show! The iHeart Radio Music Awards awarded Green Day with their Landmark award! According to iHeart Media, the Landmark award “recognizes artists’ album releases that have inspired and shaped culture over multiple decades”. Green Day’s impact on the industry is one that should not be forgotten! The band formed in 1987 and debuted their studio album, “39/Smooth” in 1990. After that, the rest is history! Furthermore, Green Day’s most popular album is “American Idiot” in 2004 that launched them into mainstream media and helped showcase emo punk rock into the stardom! Check out their acceptance speech and performance at the show below!
