Pitchfork 2024 Music Festival Lineup Reveal
Pitchfork Media has announced its first-ever 2024 Pitchfork Music Festival Mexico City lineup with various performers across multiple Mexico City venues from March 6 to 10!
The Pitchfork Music Festival is an annual summer festival that highlights performers from across multiple genres, such as indie, alternative rock, electronic, hardcore punk, and more! Now usually, the festival is held in Chicago, Illinois. But, this year, the Pitchfork 2024 music festival will spread across multiple Mexico City venues with many artists.
The lineup has dance/electronic artists such as Debby Friday, Kelela, N.O.I.A., Mabe Fratti, Los Alan Anaya, and Yeule. Following up, for the hip-hop and R&B performers, the Armand Hammer, Billy Woods, JPEGMAFIA, and Noa Sainz are performing at the event. Lastly, for the alternative/indie performers, Andy Shauf, Protomartyr, Sky Ferreira, King Kruele, Descartes a Kant, Diles Que No Me Maten, and Glasser are performing as well.

Pitchfork 2024 Music Festival Act 1: Yeule
Yeule is a Singaporean singer and music producer who creates dance and alternative music. The 26-year-old performer hit the scene in 2014 with their self-titled E.P. In 2023, they teased their latest single, “Sulky Baby,” on social media and released it on their new album, “Softscars.” Furthermore, this song has trippy synthesizers, guitar riffs, and emotional lyrics to encompass the song.
“I took what I loved from alt-rock and roll and transformed it in a cyber-twee alt, post-punk emo electronica kind of way,” they said to Rolling Stone.

Act 2: Armand Hammer
Armand Hammer is a hip-hop duo of Billy Woods and Elucid from New York City . The duo is known for their 2013 single, “Shark Fin Group.” In the same year, they released their first album called “Race Music.” The record reached critical acclaim from publications such as The Village Voice and Tiny Mix Tapes. Last year, in 2023, Armand Hammer released their sixth album called “We Buy Diabetic Test Strips.” The album features experimental instrumentals with poetic lyrics.

Act 3: Andy Shauf
Andy Shauf is a famous Canadian songwriter and performer who has been active for almost two decades. Shauf specializes in alternative and indie music by playing the guitar, drums, and sometimes the clarinet on his albums. Soon, He started to gain attraction when he released his fifth album, “The Party,” in 2016. Further, the album is a creative concept of documenting different aspects of a house party through other characters. For example, his song, “The Magician,” is up for interpretation for the listener. By assumption, the song’s lyrics could indicate that this character wants to please the crowd despite their feelings.
