MyCompiledThoughts Teases New Single with Behind-the-Scenes Video

MyCompiledThoughts will release his new single, “Moving Crazy” on Aug. 6. The rising R&B artist promises to dive into the experience of a relationship taking an unexpected turn for the worse.

“This song was inspired by a turbulent moment in a past relationship,” MyCompiledThoughts said in a statement. “I felt like I was spiraling, intertwined with an avoidant lover. I loved her dearly, but her tendencies to avoid made me feel like I was moving crazy.”

The track’s fluctuating tempo and its heartfelt lyrics reflect such.

MyCompiledThoughts engineered, produced, mixed, and mastered the track himself, crafting it on the digital audio workstation, Ableton.

He also shared the behind-the-scenes video below, giving fans an insight into the creative process behind “Moving Crazy” ahead of its release and walking them through different aspects of his diverse musical talents.

Fans and concertgoers can catch MyCompiledThoughts performing live next week at the We Found New Music Showcase on July 30 at Hotel Ziggy in West Hollywood. Attendees can hear “Moving Crazy” early, as well as songs from his most recent EP, “Soul Brother Chapter 1.” The EP has received praise from Duran Duran’s Simon LeBon and SiriusXM Whoosh Radio for its “real New Jack swing sound.” R.S.V.P. here to attend.
