Moon Rocket, the alias of Italian producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Raffaele Scoccia, is rapidly establishing himself as a distinctive force in the global Afro House scene. His journey into music began at the age of 15, when his parents bought him a piano, sparking a lifelong passion that led him to study classical music, harmony, and composition. Drawing from his background as a classically trained pianist and Hammond organ player, Moon Rocket has developed a signature Afro Melodic-Tech sound that seamlessly blends musicianship, melody, emotion, and dancefloor energy.

‘Be The One You Are’ is an Afro house track built around a repeating piano line that runs through the arrangement. The keys sit in a midrange register, playing a short, looping motif that locks with the kick and off-beat percussion rather than floating above it. Shakers and a deep, rounded bassline form the rhythm section below, while the piano stays the most distinct melodic feature from the introduction through to the main section. The vocals remain the main focus, leaning more toward the melodic, R&B-influenced hooks found on Adam Port and Stryv’s more recent records than toward heavier, traditional Afro vocal arrangements. The percussion layers build gradually without a clear breakdown, maintaining the same tempo and energy as today’s HUGEL club hits.

Moon Rocket shared the following: “This track is about coming back to yourself. About letting go of the noise, the expectations, and the need to fit into someone else’s idea of who you should be. I wanted the music to carry that feeling of freedom — something melodic and uplifting, but with a deeper message underneath: when you stop pretending and start standing in your own name, you find your own rhythm.”
