Megan Moroney Forced to Cancel Denver Show Due to Illness
On July 30th, country-pop megastar Megan Moroney was forced to cancel her show at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. This came mid-performance, having sung just three songs,’Medicine’, ‘Stupid’ and ‘Break it Right Back’. An illness prevented Moroney from going on. She addressed the crowd in tears, visibility distraught,“I am obviously extremely sick, and I thought I did everything to make myself better, and obviously, two songs in, I just can’t play this show tonight.”
One look at the 29 year old and you knew something was off. The bubbly, fun and contagious energy fans have come to love was missing. Immediately after the cancellation, she took to her own instagram story to share an update “That was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. I never ever will give you guys a show that is not 100% and by song 3 I knew that I was not capable of giving that to you tonight.”
Moroney’s apology has been met with open arms. Many fans have expressed their gratitude and love for her via social media. No matter what, Megan will always have her emo cowgirls. She’s been on the record stating she wants her concerts to “feel like a group therapy session.” As she left the stage crying, her adoring fans responded in a supportive and mature manner. Many of which reached out to Megan offering her well wishes and stressing the importance of her personal health over any performance.
