Mannywellz Reunites With Wale On “How It Feels”
Nigerian-American artist, songwriter and producer Mannywellz releases the official music video for “How It Feels,” featuring DMV native and Grammy-nominated rapper Wale.
Directed by Kazadi and set in Downtown Los Angeles, the video follows Mannywellz as he’s drawn into a quiet pursuit of a mysterious woman who leads him through subway stations and empty, atmospheric spaces. As the story unfolds, he’s seen buying watermelon from a woman in a red Porsche—an image that carries through to the final moments, where he and his love interest share it together. Wale enters later in the visual, grounding the narrative with a reflective verse capturing the emotional fallout of a chaotic relationship. Visually, the video plays with contrast, balancing expansive architectural shots with intimate close-ups shaped by shadow, reflection, and low light.
Self-produced by Mannywellz, “How It Feels” is a record that blends elements of R&B into his signature “borderless sound.” The track explores the push and pull of falling in love when it feels overwhelming, uncertain, and out of your control. A DMV native himself, Mannywellz reunites with fellow Maryland artist Wale on “How It Feels,” building on their previous hit “Love & Loyalty” and bringing their shared DMV roots and Nigerian heritage full circle.
The release continues Mannywellz’s strong momentum in 2026, further establishing him as a distinct voice across R&B. Following his inclusion in BET’s Next Up and a Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Top 100 placement, he has steadily built a growing international audience, surpassing 100 million streams and expanding his reach through both music and visual storytelling.
