Los Aptos Captures Love With “Como Lo Mueves”
Fresh off the incredible success of its performance last month as part of the LA Times’ De Los official SXSW showcase, the talented Latin trio Los Aptos returns today to make fans fall in love once again with its newest single “Como lo Mueves.”
With “Como lo Mueves,” Los Aptos taps into the unmistakable sound and engaging storytelling that has come to characterize the group among listeners worldwide. Constructed with sweet melodies and lyrics filled with palpable yearning, the song explores the intense emotions we can experience when we begin to crush on someone we’ve seen only once, and how once it sets in, that all-consuming sense of infatuation can be nearly impossible to shake.
“The song speaks about a time when you see someone at a party, and you can’t get them out of your head. It begins to take control of your day-to-day life. The song talks about being really mesmerized by that person,” the band’s singer, Juan Ortega, shares.
Much like the trio’s popular song “Sálvame,” “Como lo Mueves” is another infectious cumbia that will leave listeners feeling like they just attended a lively party, surrounded by friends and enveloped in the sounds of people having a great time.

2024 marked the second consecutive year that Los Aptos was invited to perform at SXSW and this year the group thrilled everyone who attended the Los Angeles Times’ De Los showcase with a captivating 40-minute set at La Factoria in Austin. De Los was one of the officials showcases this year that was focused entirely on Latin music and found the trio performing alongside other rising stars such as Polo Gonzalez, Bodine, and Pink Pablo.
Formed by two Mexican American artists and one Guatemalan American, Los Aptos proves again and again why it is one of the most unique and talented groups in all of Latin music. With the release of “Como lo Mueves,” the latest single off its highly anticipated forthcoming album, the trio continues its meteoric rise to global fame and will bring its music to more audiences in the United States with a series of spring show dates that will kick off on May 3 in McAllen, TX.
