Lollapalooza Day Three: Rainy Daze

Though Saturday, August 5th, brought just as much star power to Lollapalooza as the days before, this writer can confidently say that Mother Nature was ready for some peace and quiet and she was not afraid to let it be known. With a near-constant downpour and temperatures in the low 70s, she was not taking it easy on festival-goers that day.

The plastic ponchos were out in full force, and mud up to the knees became a common accessory for many. However, despite the gloomy weather and slippery terrain, few were deterred from watching their favorites perform.

Day Three of Lollapalooza boasted another spectacular lineup including singer and movie star Suki Waterhouse, up-and-coming Mexican music group Los Aptos whose interview with the Garnette Report can be found HERE, and folksy singer-songwriter/viral sensation Maggie Rogers

All leading up to another fantastic end-of-day lineup including an emotional performance from J.I.D. on the T-Mobile Stage, and incredible house beats by Meduza on the Perry’s Stage. Followed by Yung Gravy on the Coinbase stage, who after watching his performance I can only describe as a goofy lil’ weirdo whom I adore.

And finally, once again fans got to take their pick of finale performances by Saturday’s headliners: Tomorrow x Together, Odesza, and Pusha T! All three of which amassed huge crowds each on their own merit. Whether you were looking for K-pop boy band vibes, you wanted to rock out to “Just So You Remember”, and “I Don’t Like”, or you wanted to have a clubby rave in the rain with Odesza, there was something for everyone on Saturday Night at Lollapalooza.
