Leo Rizzi Turns Love Into Shelter With “CORAZÓN HINCHADO”
Hispanic-Uruguayan singer-songwriter Leo Rizzi releases “Corazón Hinchado,” the third single from his upcoming album, La Belleza de las Flores, due out May 8. The single is available now on all streaming platforms.
On “Corazón Hinchado,” Leo captures the pride that comes from choosing to walk through life alongside the person of your dreams. Written by Rizzi with Jesús JoséOrtega Bermúdez and Juan González Sánchez, the song speaks to love’s capacity not only to transform itself, but also to become a pillar through adversity and a refuge in times of uncertainty.
“Corazón Hinchado” is a striking display of Rizzi’s storytelling craft and narrative maturity. Through vivid, descriptive verses, he guides the listener toward the shelter that a beloved person represents — and how, through their presence alone, he finds the strength not only to quiet the “monsters” that haunt his dreams, but to face his fears head-on.
Produced by RYO and Leo Rizzi himself, the track channels the nostalgia of a love built over years through a sound that is equal parts vintage and contemporary pop-rock. A blues-tinged guitar anchors the song from the very first note, steering the production toward a near-cinematic climax in the chorus — a musical reflection of the swelling heart the singer evokes throughout the track.
The world of “Corazón Hinchado” extends into a music video that connects to the story “Choque,” revealed. The handkerchief bearing the message “Ten fe, cariño” and the car Rizzi drove in the video serve as the visual thread connecting the two stories.
Leo plays a bar singer who manages to capture the attention of two powerful, mysterious men arriving in a 1980s Bentley. After a mesmerizing performance, he takes the keys and drives away. The final shot of the “Corazón Hinchado” video — Leo’s eyes reflected in the rearview mirror, and the hopeful handkerchief in frame — is the moment where the story of “Choque” begins.
As with “Choque,” the official video for “Corazón Hinchado” was shot on Kodak film, an original concept by Ana Roda and Leo Rizzi, who also led the creative direction. The video was directed by Sofía Boriosi, with cinematography by Sofía Colodrón and production by Sandra Paola Fierro.
The single arrives one week after the singer-songwriter took to social media to announce his second studio album, La Belleza de las Flores, arriving May 8.
“I am beyond excited to share the cover and tracklist for what will be my second studio album,” he shared on Instagram. “In the face of the speed of communication, the desecration of the sacred, and the blurring of poetry and information, I attempt to inhabit a liminal space of beauty. I wanted it to feel mine, to feel like everyone’s, to feel alive, to feel material and intangible, to feel accessible and completely out of reach — and I did not stop building until it did,” he revealed.
“Corazón Hinchado,” “Choque,” and “Puro” — the lead single that launched this new chapter in his artistry — will all be part of La Belleza de las Flores.
