Kolo’s Got “Money On The Line”

Multi-hyphenate global artist Kolo turns the confidence all the way up on his new single, “Money on the Line,” co-produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer 6ix. The track serves as the latest release from the pair’s forthcoming collaborative project SONATA, arriving October 23.

Set against 6ix’s grand, choir-laced production and heavy, spacious drums, “Money on the Line” sounds like an entrance. Kolo uses every inch of the record to flex his pen, moving through money, status, style and success with an unapologetic confidence. Between slick one-liners and pointed observations about who is really winning versus who simply looks the part, Kolo sounds completely at home in the moment.

“Money on the Line is a song where I get to talk that talk. My confidence is unapologetic and that’s when I create my best work,” says Kolo.

“Money on the Line” offers another glimpse into the world Kolo and 6ix have built together on SONATA. Co-produced entirely by 6ix, best known for his longtime work with Logic, and co-produced by Kolo, the eight-track project marks a rare full-length collaboration for the producer outside of his work with Logic. Recorded at Sonata Recording Studios, the project takes inspiration from the structure of a musical sonata, moving through different sounds, moods, and ideas while remaining connected by a singular creative vision.

Shaped by experiences across Japan, Belgium, Nigeria and Atlanta, Kolo has built an artistic perspective rooted in sharp lyricism and a global point of view. Earlier this year, he partnered with Tracklib for “Lonely Dreams,” reimagining Peruvian psychedelic rock band Laghonia’s “My Love” into a reflection on ambition, sacrifice and the pursuit of something greater. Since emerging in 2023, Kolo has generated more than 250 million views across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, and his music and artistry have earned recognition from names including Idris Elba, Russ, Eric André, Gary Vee, Genius, and J.R. Rotem. His breakout single “THEY KNOW US” has surpassed 1 million Spotify streams, while What It Means to See It All has amassed more than 1.5 million streams.
