KATSEYE Brings Fans Behind The Scenes With ‘WILD HEARTS’ Theatrical Release
KATSEYE is bringing its journey to the big screen ahead of its next music release. Tickets officially went on sale Thursday for “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS,” a limited theatrical event that gives fans an inside look at the group’s rise from trainees to one of pop’s fastest-growing global acts. The film opens in theaters Aug. 12, just two days before KATSEYE releases its third EP, “WILD,” through HYBE x Geffen Records.
Directed by Nadia Hallgren, “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS” features never-before-seen footage, fan-submitted videos and new interviews with the six members. The documentary explores the relationship between KATSEYE and its fandom, known as EYEKONS, while highlighting the milestones that shaped the group’s career.
The theatrical event arrives during a breakout stretch for KATSEYE, which continues to build momentum following its 2025 EP “BEAUTIFUL CHAOS.” The project debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 and helped establish the multinational girl group as one of pop music’s most closely watched emerging acts.
A Look Inside KATSEYE’s Journey
The film traces KATSEYE’s path from HYBE and Geffen Records’ Dream Academy training program to international success. Audiences will see the challenges, sacrifices, and defining moments that helped transform the group into a global phenomenon.
Alongside behind-the-scenes footage, the documentary highlights the role EYEKONS played throughout that journey. Fan videos appear throughout the film, creating what producers describe as a tribute to the community that has supported KATSEYE since its formation.
The project comes from the team behind Netflix’s “Pop Star Academy.” Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures produced the film in partnership with HYBE x Geffen, with Hallgren serving as director.
“KATSEYE’s first-ever cinema event celebrates the passionate EYEKONS community that has embraced KATSEYE’s journey from the group’s formation to becoming one of pop’s most exciting new global acts,” Kymberli Frueh, executive vice president of programming and content acquisitions for Trafalgar Releasing, said in a statement.
She added that the company looks forward to bringing fans together in theaters around the world for a shared viewing experience.
New Music and a Sold-out Tour Follow
The documentary also serves as the lead-up to KATSEYE’s next chapter. The group’s third EP, “WILD,” arrives Aug. 14, continuing the momentum created by “BEAUTIFUL CHAOS.”
KATSEYE recently introduced its latest single, “PINKY UP,” during its first performance at Coachella after wrapping its sold-out debut North American tour. The release follows a year of major milestones for the group, including earning TikTok’s Global Artist of the Year honor, receiving two Grammy Award nominations and winning three American Music Awards.
The group’s upcoming THE WILDWORLD TOUR begins Sept. 1 and has already sold out.
Fans attending the theatrical event can also purchase a Fandango-exclusive bundle that includes one movie ticket and a limited-edition “WILD HEARTS” photocard set created for EYEKONS.
Since forming through Dream Academy, KATSEYE has stood out for its international lineup, with members representing the United States, Europe, Asia and other regions. The group’s global makeup, combined with HYBE’s artist development system and Geffen Records’ industry network, has helped position KATSEYE as a bridge between Western pop and K-pop.
