Karol G Begins New Tour With New Album
Colombian singer Karol G has released a new album, Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season), as she begins her first stadium tour in the United States. Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season) serves as a companion album to Mañana Será Bonito (translating to “Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful”), the hit album she released in February 2023. Karol G made history when that album became the first all-Spanish album to top the Billboard 200 albums chart. This is not the only time she has made history, as she became the first Latina to headline Lollapalooza earlier this month in Chicago, performed at Coachella for the first time on the main stage in 2022, and earned the highest-grossing United States tour by a female Latin act with her $trip Love Tour.
While Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season) is shorter than its predecessor, it has ten new songs and six collaborations. It contains the melodic reggaeton beats Karol G has often included on songs like “Oki Doki.” She continues the snappy sounds with the EDM Latin trap song “S91,” inspired by the Psalm 91 Bible verse she learned from her mother, this song is also her latest single. Karol G works with up-and-comers Peso Pluma on “Qlona” and Dei V on “Gatita Gangster.” She slows things down with “Mi Ex Tenía Razón,” a Tejano-inspired song with a connection to the legendary artist Selena Quintanilla, and “Me Tengo Que Ir,” a breezy duet with Kali Uchis who she shares Colombian heritage with. Karol G continues the girl boss energy on “Dispo,” a female empowerment collaboration with another up-and-comer, Young Miko. There are two remixes on the new album: “Una Noche En Medellín” and “Provenza.” On “Una Noche En Medellín,” Karol G joins Chilean Cris MJ and Colombian Ryan Castro to create a new version of the viral hit. On “Provenza,” Dutch DJ and producer Tiësto remixes the single Karol G released last year, into an electronic bop.
Karol G started her Mañana Será Bonito tour at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Thursday, August 10th. The tour is set to have stops around the United States before it concludes on September 28th at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. It is certainly Bichota Season as Karol G begins this new season of her career.
