Jae Stephens Smolders in “Body Favors” Video
Jae Stephens broke out onto the scene as a teenager and has since honed her songwriting chops to an impeccable standard. The acclaimed singer-songwriter opens up the runway with her new video for “Body Favors,” a single from the upcoming SELLOUTEP. Inspired by ballroom house and mid-00s Timbaland and Neptunes-produced duets, “Body Favors” rides a propulsive, rubbery bassline to become an irresistible dance floor anthem. Answering the beat’s siren call in the video, Jae cycles through a series of outfits as she shakes her hips to the insistent bass and percolating percussion.
A vibrant collection of R&B heaters, SELLOUT demonstrates Jae’s facility with all strains of her favorite genre. SELLOUT is home to recent singles like the percolating “Girls Don’t Cheat,” co-written by Chxrry22 and covered by BET and Rated R&B, and the uptempo and pristine “WET,” recognized by Elle as one of the Best Songs of April 2024, plus more. The beginning of a new era for the young artist, SELLOUT releases on September 20th via Raedio/Def Jam.
Now signed to Raedio, the “audio everywhere” company, in partnership with Def Jam Recordings, Jae Stephens is primed to deliver on her limitless potential. Stay tuned for SELLOUT, which establishes her as one of R&B’s vital voices for 2024 and years to come.
