J. Cole announces release of ‘Fall-Off Magazine’ During World Tour
Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, marked a historic day in the hip hop industry. It came from none other than multi platinum two-time grammy award winning rapper J. Cole. The world renowned superstar already released his newest album ‘The Fall-Off‘ in February earlier this year. What followed was the announcement of his world tour which supports hisseventh studio album. But J. Cole isn’t done there. He’s always been one to push boundaries and extend the limits of his influence. And so, just before the start of The Fall Off World Tour’ in Charlotte on July 10th, the rapper introduced the ‘Fall-Off Magazine’ to the world.
The Fall-Off Magazine and its Purpose
J. Cole has genius that lies within his decision making. The concept is simple yet complex. It’s something the hip hop world didn’t necessarily ask for but desperately needed. It’s a place for real, raw expression outside of songwriting. The ‘Fall-Off Magazine’ is a 144-page editorial publication that describes the history, influence and cultural significance of Hip Hop. Descriptive journalism combines with in depth photography, artwork and design to create a magazine worthy of Hip-Hop’s rich history.
The Magazine not only details the history of Hip Hop but works to describe how the industry has evolved over time. It’ll always have its roots – ‘old school’ 70’s legends like Grandmaster Flash and DJ Kool Herc – and that’s well and truly great. But Hip Hop acts as a river, flowing endlessly ever-changing through time. It documents culture as it evolves. “Designed as a collectible object as much as a publication, The Fall-Off is crafted to be revisited long after its first read.”
Editor-In-Chief, Bonsu Thompson looks to ensure a legacy with this release. The award-winning writer and producer, who’s been at this for over 30 years, knows his way around a magazine. Publisher and VP of Creative, Felton Brown, helped curate a team of journalists and design artists to make this moment special.
J Cole’s World Tour and Star Studded Cast
Over 60 creatives, including writers, photographers, illustrators, designers, collaborated on this magazine to document the people, ideas and cultural impact that Hip hop has had on the world. It features interviews with Hip Hop legends and pioneers like JAŸ-Z, Lauryn Hill, RZA, Glorilla, J.I.D, Yachty, Cash Cobain, and many more. This magazine has multiple uses, but documenting the past, present and future of Hip Hop while working to inspire the next generation is its main goal.
J. Cole began his six month-long ‘The Fall-Off World Tour’ on July 10th in Charlotte, NC. It will feature 15 countries and over 50 cities, with the American leg stretching from the beginning of July until mid September. Classic European cities like London, Amsterdam and Paris will play host to J. Cole’s prowess. Get your tickets to ‘The Fall-Off World Tour’ now! Don’t forget to order ‘The Fall-Off Magazine’ here!
