HiTech Drops New Single/Video “Spank!”
Detroit’s trailblazing ghettotech trio HiTech (comprised of King Milo, Milf Melly, & 47Chops) have just released a new single “SPANK!” – available now on all digital streaming platforms through Loma Vista Recordings. Initially premiered as part of their set on The Lot Radio earlier this year (which quickly became the most streamed segment of the mix and sparked a wave of viral moments via unofficial uploads of the track), “SPANK!” offers a fresh glimpse into the trio’s signature fusion of ghettotech, house, and hip-hop while deftly delivering a charge of the chaotic energy that defines their visceral live shows. The new release is accompanied by an irreverent, psychedelic, and unflinchingly horny music video directed by Igobycy that elevates the track’s high-octane beats and hypnotic lyric delivery with fractal-esque visual effects amid a cornucopia of gyatt.
“SPANK!” arrives in the midst of a slew of tour dates across the EU and US supporting Nia Archives and on the heels of the re-release of their critically acclaimed albums HiTech and Détwat, now streaming on DSPs and available as a limited edition, hand-numbered, hand-painted vinyl pressing available exclusively through the HiTech online shop. The group’s notoriety continues to balloon (even popping up as the opening cut of recent Jamie XX sets) in the wake of recent high-profile performances, including a sold-out shows at Boiler Room NYC, Chicago, and Austin, as well as a slew of NYFW appearances including ByAlexander with Cash Cobain, RAPRAVE at Le Bain, and VANS Block Party with Jubilee, and a London show that garnered acclaim from MixMag, Wonderland, Clash, The Face, Notion, & Crack. Full tour dates and artwork are available below.
