GALE Debuts “Por Si Las Dudas” With Lagos
Singer, songwriter and Rolling Stone-crowned ‘it girl’ & ‘pop girl’ from Puerto Rico GALE (@GALE) debuts her next single, “Por Si Las Dudas,” a vibrant collaboration with Latin duo Lagos that captures the emotional turmoil of questioning decisions when the heart is still unsure. The music video compliments this theme, reflecting the internal struggle and desire for closure, alongside stunning imagery. “Por Si Las Dudas” previews the Latin GRAMMY Best New Artist 2023 nominee’s sophomore project.
As GALE explains, “Por Si Las Dudas” is about those moments when the heart still has questions, even if the head says that everything is clear. It’s that need for one last time, to feel like you’re making the right decision before you let it all go. I’m very excited that this song is the beginning of my new musical era, and doing it together with Lagos makes it even more special.”
LAGOS, who are nominated for a Latin GRAMMY this year, also shares, “Since we heard the song, we loved it and we are very happy that she has invited us to participate in it. The production is incredible and we are very honored to be on this song with her. Recording the video was a pleasure and it is a video that is very beautiful with a very nice story, accompanied by beautiful visuals. We loved being a part of this song and this video. We hope you enjoy it.”
This collaboration follows GALE’s internationally chart topping Ana Mena collaboration “La Razón”; a song that dives into the emotional repercussions of heartbreak. It also follows her new collaboration with Pol Granch, “Tarantino”. Earlier this year too, GALE released a reimagined version of “Inevitable,” adding new energy in a touching co-signed cover of Shakira’s well-loved pop song and 1998 single.
The chameleonic multi-talent is having a Rolling Stone co-signed “pop girl moment,” as she continues to touch the hearts of music fans across the globe with her personal lyrics. Reigned Rolling Stone’s “It Girl” too, in tandem with the release of her debut album, “Lo Que No Te Dije,” GALE’s project was highlighted as a “glowing collection of songs that puts [her] knack for pop melodies and confessional lyricism on display.”
Celebrating her artistry, GALE graced the Latin GRAMMY stage in Sevilla, Spain, as a ‘Best New Artist’ nominee and performer, alongside Juanes. The Rolling Stone “Act Set to Make it Big…” and Billboard co-signed “Artist to Watch” scored 3 Latin GRAMMY nominations, and she also received her first Premio Lo Nuestro nomination for ‘Best New Female Artist’ earlier this year. Accolades continued for her album, marking Rolling Stone’s “Best Albums of 2023” and Billboard’s “Best Latin Albums” mid-year and year-end lists.
The Puerto Rican powerhouse’s 12-song debut tracked the multi-color shades of GALE’s journey; from fuck-you feminist punk anthems, vulnerable heartbreak ballads and even dream-pop odes to self-pleasure. A delicious mix of pop, eurodance, punk, grunge and urban-flow. Songs to repeat: “Nuestra Canción”, which ranked #7 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, “Problemas”, which also rocketed to the Top 15, “Inmadura” and “D-Pic.” GALE also released a spooky track at the end of last year paying homage to the best of female-fronted pop-punk “Movie,” exuding major main-character energy.
As a chart-topping and award recognized songwriter, GALE is also known behind the scenes for co-penning fan favorite tracks for Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Manuel Turizo, Juanes, Anitta, and Cardi B, to name a few.
GALE sang the US national anthem at the F1 Miami Grand Prix in Miami; performed at the Latin Alternative Music Conference, and also participated in Billboard Latin Week.
