Rising R&B artist, producer, and songwriter Gabriel Jacoby releases his new single, “let’s talk about it,” out now via PULSE Records/BOURNE Records. A sultry, funk-driven record layered with melodic guitar and crisp percussion, Gabriel’s elastic delivery moves between rich vocals, rhythmic phrasing, and a smooth serenade, laying bare the chemistry of two people getting closer by putting their desires into words, turning what could be left unsaid into something worth talking about.

“”lets talk about it’ is basically saying before we walk away from each other, let’s come together and talk about what’s going on,” Gabriel says. “I always felt most things can be fixed when we stop standing against each other and start standing eye to eye, cuz we’re only human.”

Last year, Gabriel introduced himself with gutta child, a raw and soulful eight-track debut that brought together the blues, funk, Florida krank, Southern hip-hop, and R&B that shaped his musical identity. The project established the Tampa and Anderson, South Carolina native as “an incredible new discovery” according to NPR, while Billboard praised Gabriel as “a breath of fresh air” for picking up on the undercurrent of funk coursing through contemporary R&B. Since then, Gabriel has continued to draw co-signs from across music and culture, with Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, Justin Bieber, Kehlani, KAYTRANADA, SAILORR, DESTIN CONRAD, Odeal, and others championing his work. He was also featured in The New York Times’ summer music recommendations, while Dominic Fike recently tapped Gabriel for “Small Town” adding another notable collaboration to his growing catalog. On stage, Gabriel has performed at RoadTrip Music Festival and London’s Jazz Cafe Festival, as well as alongside Khamari during his sold-out tour. With The FADER noting that “it’s clear he doesn’t plan to let up anytime soon,” Gabriel continues to build on the foundation of gutta child with each release, collaboration, and live performance.

Earlier this fall, Gabriel took the stage at Austin City Limits, with an upcoming Camp Flog Gnaw performance in November, bringing his genre-blurring sound to two of the country’s most prominent music festivals.

Born in Anderson, South Carolina and raised in Tampa, Florida, Gabriel Jacoby is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who writes, produces, records, mixes, and masters his own music, while also directing and editing his visuals. His debut EP gutta child has since been recognized by HYPEBEAST and Paste Magazine as one of the defining EPs of 2025, while “the one” was named among the year’s best songs by NPR and YAMS Magazine, and “baby” landed on The FADER’s Best Songs of 2025. Pitchfork praised Gabriel’s ability to make “roots music that looks to the sky more than the soil,” highlighting writing that is “downhome and clever” and a musical world where “funk and blues, R&B and rap, are all love languages.” His growing profile has also earned him a cover of NME, performances on COLORS, VEVO and Zane Lowe, featured in XXL’s The Break, and recognition as an Artist to Watch in 2026 by Complex and Wonderland. Gabriel is currently one of 16 artists included in YouTube’s 2026 Foundry Class, has appeared on the cover of Spotify’s Vanguard and TIDAL’s R&B: Rising, while his music has landed on Apple Music’s Love Letters, Soul Revival, and Slow Dancing playlists, featured in NPR, Billboard, BET, The FADER, Stereogum, 66Greene, Lyrical Lemonade and included in EBONY’s Stamped Gentleman of Sound list. He has also sat down with Travis Mills on Apple Music, co-written Shaboozey’s “Chrome – Bonus,” and continued to build a growing audience through viral acoustic performances that have amassed more than 10 million views, with over 57 million streams across his catalog.

For Gabriel Jacoby, heritage is fuel. The blues, soul, funk, R&B, and rap that raised him become raw material for music that feels deeply Southern, yet reaches far beyond its roots.
